If you do happen to arrive when the site is crowded, there's always the beach.

What other things can you do in Tulum?

Outside the city's wall is a small tourist market.

One word of caution: be prepared to barter for any store-bought memories of Tulum. The very popular Mayan site Chichen Itza is located at only 150 km away from Tulum.

Relaxing on the beach is a nice way to end the day at Tulum. Its pristine sands and alluring waters rival those found in Cancun.
